    Quasar VH5141XQ VCR Powers Up But Has Trouble Playing The VHS Tapes Sold As Is.

    I tested the machine powers on and it will play the tape for about 5 seconds and then it shuts off, rewind and fast forward modes are not working, you can hear the gears spinning or turning, but the tape does not move. When you press play, you can see a clear picture (the camera image frequency is not adjusted with the monitor, but picture looks perfect) so I’m assuming the heads are in good condition.
    I believe that someone with knowledge of these types of machines will be able to adjust it and bring it back to life. I’m selling it in the currently condition of as is/for parts/not working.
