Sony Betascan Weekend Programmer SL-5400 Working Betamax. So here is the deal. I only have 1 beta tape to test it with. It is a home recorded off television 80's movie. The picture came in a bit grainy but I am pretty sure that has a lot to do with the tape I used because every machine I have played it on was grainy. This unit could probably use getting its heads cleaned. I have included a picture of what came up on my T.V. for you to see. The sound was great. I did not test the record function but FF RW Pause stop play all worked. After using FF and RW 5 or 6 times. I had the tape slightly unravel once. I was easily able to fix it but I thought I should mention it happened. I used it 3 more times and it was fine. The door with the 14 channel selection has a missing hinge to the front side of the player and 2 of the buttons fall out if you open it. See pics provided. I am not claiming this unit to have zero issues but it is working and if you know what you are doing with it I am sure it could easily be fully restored.
